Technically the broadcasters are not allowed to report the news with a point of view. you will see if they have interviews, on most subjects they will have both sides of the argument present. newspapers are however allowed to to twist and contort things, the papers called the red tops are partially blunt and obvious about it, the more intellectual papers are a tab more subtle but you still notice it. but I don't mind that I know what they are doing I can see what they are doing and am prepared and ready to question whatever I read as merely an opinion.
What I do object to is the way Television tries it. I can see what they are doing and most of time it really annoys me, but what worries me is the times I don't notice it. I would like to know how much I have been brain washed by the media's point of view, still I quiet often yell at the news I am guessing not so much but it worries me.
For example the way the got Tony Blair out I know it was a combination of the two media's but the television had a lot more influence on that than you would. I know it is just theory I can not give you any proof of the top of my head but watch the news and see it for Gordon brown this time round. David Cameron is being shown in a very good light in comparison even though the Torrie are refusing to tell us exactly what there policy are they are being presented as the next party to take power in Westminster.
I would like to use this to reflect on how the media does control the masses, I would love to sit here and say I rebel against it but I honestly have no clue if I am or not but if conservatives get in I feel they have had a clear hand from the media playing up policy that they have presented rather than question how well the work.
Any way just another opinionated rant, i thought i would have a little change for my next blog but we'll see when that happens.
